Carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms are generally mistaken with normal life processes. Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused due to the irritation of median nerve. Median nerve passes through the carpal tunnel and performs the function of receiving the sensation from thumb, and fingers of the hand. The irritation in the median nerve is caused due to swelling or change in the position of tissue within the carpal tunnel. This irritation gives rise to carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms.
